The preamp is only about 20cm, so you have to reach far into this socket to reach controls and outputs. On dark stages it's hard to see if it's in 2, 4 or 8 Ohms, hard to reach the DI-out. It's nice the cabs are as wide as the amp. It's nice the feet of the amp exactly fit in the holes on the cab.
